SLIGHTLY SCARLET 2020
Slightly Scarlet is Bondue’s annual philanthropic event which seeks to raise funds and increase awareness for social causes. Unlike previous years, Slightly Scarlet 2020 will be moving online with lots of exciting activities to raise awareness for the visually impaired community in Singapore. Building on efforts last year, we are honoured to have Guide Dogs Singapore (GDS) join us for our 10th edition of Slightly Scarlet.
This year, our theme is “Enlighten”.
In ‘Enlighten’, we strive to shed some light on the visually impaired community in Singapore and the struggles that they are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. While doing so, we aim to bring light to the lives of the visually impaired, who are often forgotten during difficult times like this.
Join us in this meaningful journey and follow us on Instagram and Facebook @slightlyscarletofficial as we aim to create a more inclusive society for our beneficiaries. To support our cause, you can purchase our merchandise or food, drinks and clay earrings from our partners. Alternatively, you make a donation by clicking on the button below.
OUR BENEFICIARY: GUIDE DOGS SINGAPORE
Guide Dogs Singapore (GDS), our beneficiary for the third consecutive year, exists with a mission to help the visually impaired enhance their quality of life by providing mobility training to the blind or visually impaired, and pair suitable candidates with Guide Dogs.
GDS believes that the Visually Impaired (VI) community should not be limited by their disability. Thus, they aim to enhance their quality of life through a range of rehabilitation programmes which includes training their clients on how to use guide dogs. GDS's services are provided at no cost to their clients, with the aim for clients to be empowered for independent living. In addition, they educate society to be more inclusive of the visually impaired, building the bridge between the visually impaired and the community. Check out their website here.
